Team Recognition
We are delighted to share that Declan was named Employee of the Month for
September. Congratulations, Declan, and thank you for everything you do for the
Centre.
Hydrohex & Pool Timetable
Hydrohex is now live and available to book, with the poolside screen due to be
installed this coming Monday. As part of the launch, we have made a few small
changes to the pool timetable, mainly removing gaps between sessions that were introduced
during the Covid restrictions and are no longer needed.
Cardio Tennis
Cardio Tennis sessions run in the sports hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Sessions can be booked via the app.
Maintenance Updates
Work on the fire escape ramp has now begun. Directional signage is in place to
show disabled customers the alternative route to the gym while the work is
underway.
We are also delighted to have received Trustee approval to refurbish the two WC / shower rooms in the pool changing rooms. Work will begin on 21st December and is expected to take a few days. We will share more details nearer the time.

Centre Manager Update 16th October 2026
This week, our Fitness Instructor, Eon, completed his final shift in the gym as he moves into semi-retirement. Eon has worked at Aspire Leisure Centre for 27 years and will be greatly missed in the gym, although we are delighted that he will continue to lead his weekly classes 😊
Thank you to everyone who has been checking in on arrival this week. Our staff have made this a real focus, and your support is appreciated.
Classes update
We are pleased to confirm that Katrina, a new instructor, will lead two trial classes at 8am on Saturday 31st October and Saturday 7th November. The sessions will combine dance fitness with elements of Zumba and Caribbean dance. Why not give one a go?
Our first Hydrohex classes are now scheduled in the pool from 28th October. Premier members will be able to view and book them on the app 10 days in advance. You can also find more information about the class types on our website: Hydrohex – Virtual Aqua Fitness Launch.
Maintenance Updates
· Most of the tile repairs in the pool changing rooms were completed on Sunday. A small number remain outstanding, and we hope to complete these within the next couple of weeks.
· The reception lift remains out of order. We are now awaiting a specialist survey because the required repairs appear to be complex.
· Work on the external fire escape will now start on 28th October. Several parking bays will be out of action during the works as will the side walkway. We will look at alternative access to the gym for our disabled customers, please follow staff instruction and signage.
Finally we do have a couple of spaces left on our Lifeguard course starting 26th October, candidates need to be over 16 and strong swimmers, more information here Pool Lifeguard & Swimming Courses
