Centre Manager Update – 13 March 2026
What a busy week we’ve had at Aspire Leisure Centre! 😊
Last Thursday we held our annual charity staff meeting, where we were delighted to celebrate the achievements of several members of our leisure centre team:
- Meg & Bhavna – 25 years of service
- Dean – 10 years of service
- Lee – Spirit of Aspire Award
- Declan & Dean – Team of the Month
- Karis – Employee of the Month
Dean also marked his 10-year anniversary with Aspire by running the Original London Marathon! He has already raised £929 to support people with spinal cord injuries. Could we help him reach his £1,000 target with a few final donations? Deans fundraising page
We also said farewell to Paul Parrish, our Director of Fundraising, who has now retired. We wish him all the very best and thank him for his incredible contribution. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Olivia Fox into the role. Olivia is already a familiar face at Aspire Leisure Centre, as she regularly visits alongside her father who has a spinal cord injury. I’m sure she will be looking forward to meeting many of you around the centre.
I’m also pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Leisure Centre Manager, who will be joining us at the end of April. In the meantime, I will be working closely with Declan and the team to oversee the management of the centre. For those who don’t know me yet, you can find out a little more about me and also Olivia here: Senior Management | Aspire
This week we have also installed new locks in the pool changing rooms, and added a couple of new pieces of equipment to the fitness studio in memory of one of our much-loved members, Pravin Shah.
I hope to provide updates on a weekly basis, so please do keep an eye on the Aspire app, and follow us on Instagram and Facebook stories for the latest news from around the centre.
