February 2026
Dear members,
Hopefully by now you will have heard or read that I will be leaving Aspire in the early part of next year. It’s been a fantastic 10 years with so many special moments. I am really proud of the hard work my team put in every day to make sure that all of our customers have an enjoyable experience and will make sure that there is a sufficient handover to the new Centre manager. My last working day will be Thursday 5th March.
Whilst recruitment for my position is ongoing, Tasha – Director of Operations will be taking over after I leave.
Please note that the centre will be closing earlier at 5:00pm on Thursday 5th March for our annual Aspire charity's staff meeting.
Here are a few more updates from me and the team.
April Price Increase
We will be launching our April price list in the next few weeks. Please keep an eye out for this.
App Update
ClubRight are launching an update to their member app. From the end of February you should notice a refreshed and new look app.
Remember that you can message the team via the app and scan the QR code at reception when you arrive to check in.
Staffing
We welcome Zoe to our team as the new Customer Service Team Leader. Zoe has lots of customer service experience and will be learning the role here at Aspire over the coming weeks. Zoe will be line managing the reception team, looking after our block bookings, birthday parties, shop, bookings and all things customer service. Please say hello when you see her.
Maintenance
Some of the main issues we are looking at this month are:
Pool Wheelchairs – Thanks to a successful funding application, we have another two pool chairs on order.
Lockers – I am pleased to say we have been given the green light to replace the locks on our swimming pool changing room lockers. The new locks are due to arrive in the coming weeks followed by the installation team coming in to fit them. We hope this work will be completed during February or early March.
Pickleball - We had the Pickleball court markings painted in the dance studio in December, and the space is now open for 90min bookings most weekday during the evenings. We no longer allow weekday evening Pickleball bookings in the sports hall. We hope that this will be a suitable solution following the feedback we have received.
Leaks - The drain on the roof has been repaired and we hope this will resolve some of leaks around the building. Further work is needed and our roofers will be on site this month carrying out additional investigations and work.
Marathon
It’s not too late to sponsor me or Tom for the Marathon.

Parking
Please remember - Members can get 4 hours free parking from arrival and must input your registration details into one of the terminals within the 4 hours. These are located either at Reception, near the Dance Studio or in the Gym.
If you make more than one visit per day or stay for longer than 4 hours, please email parking@aspire.org.uk
The aim of this system is not to charge customers but to make sure that there are enough spaces for you to park. We have already noticed a big difference in the number of bays available. Additional parking on a Monday and Thursday 4pm-6pm and at weekends is available at the bottom car park. If you do receive a ticket, please follow the instructions stated in the letter. Aspire staff cannot remove or cancel charges.
We would kindly also ask that Swimschool Parents do not let children run across the car park whilst waiting for a space.
Swimschool
We have lots of space in our parent and baby, parent and toddlers, stages 4-7 and adults swimming lessons. If you would like a FREE trial lesson, please email swimschool@aspire.org.uk
Swimschool parents can use the portal or the Swimsoft App to contact the Swimschool team and ask questions.
Thank you.
